Ms. Jasmine M Jones is the Founder and Executive Director of Jasmine’s Vision Scholarship Fund, a community driven, non-profit organization dedicated to aiding hardworking African American females who maybe facing socio-economic hardships achieve their goal of continuing their education beyond high school by attending a post-secondary institution. Raised in Dunn, Jasmine attended elementary and high school in the area and participated in community programs throughout the city.
Jasmine was reared in a household where education was very important. After graduating from high school, Jasmine obtained a dual Bachelor’s degree from Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina and completed her Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati. In addition to operating Jasmine’s Vision Scholarship Fund, she is an Investigative Case Analyst for the North Carolina Counterdrug Program, a member of the North Carolina National Guard and an active member of her local AMEZ church.
Jasmine also enjoys spending time with her family and working with young adults to encourage and inspire them to go beyond their dreams.
During her undergraduate career, she obtained invaluable experiences and knowledge and she wants to see more local youth exposed to the same opportunity. With her own personal encounter with life’s unfortunate circumstances and understanding the importance of education, it is her desire to take part and strive for a change. As a scholarship recipient herself she wants to give the same chance that was provided to her during her high school and collegiate years.
After years of contemplation and having the goal of launching a non-profit organization benefiting her community, Jasmine’s Vision Scholarship Fund was launched in 2018. In October of 2019, the organization became a fully formed 501(c)(3) with great support from her community, family and friends.
